Babar Azam Out: Pakistan Team Announced Against Zimbabwe, Babar Azam Picked For Australia Series

Former captain Babar Azam, fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi, and pace bowler Nassem Shah, are still placed in Pakistan’s squad for the white-ball series against Australia after they were set aside for a two-Test series against England. The Pakistan selectors revealed the One-Day International and T20I squads for the series in Australia and Zimbabwe next month. A major influx of fresh talent has been introduced in both the sides and some key names like Fakhar Zaman and Shadab Khan were not even included in the list.

Fakhar is currently under investigation by the PCB because he supported Babar on Twitter before the latter was excluded from the England Test squad.
PCB’s chairman Mohsin Naqvi will unveil the new T20 and one-day captains this afternoon during a press briefing.
The new white ball captains are expected to be wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan and Salman Ali Agha.
In some of the major decisions, the selectors have thought it proper to use the ODIs and T20s in Zimbabwe as the trial of players.

Shaheen, Babar, and Naseem, who were dropped after the first Test against England, are back for the Australian part of the trip. However, they have been kept out of the squad for the Zimbabwe tour.
The Australian tour is planned for November 4- 18.
At the same time, the three-match ODI and T20I series on November 24-December 5 will be held in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.
Pakistan will also play three one-day internationals, three T20s, and two Test matches in South Africa in December – January.
The selectors Aaqib Javed, Azhar Ali, Aleem Dar Asad Shafiq, and Hasan Cheema also informed that while Rizwan will be available for the Australia tour and Zimbabwe ODIs he will miss the Zimbabwe T20Is.
